How to Create Watermelon Nail Art Design
Hi I’m Miss Pop, a New York City based nail artist, and we are here at my favorite bar/nail salon. Beauty Bar, right here on 14th St in New York City. Today I’m going to show you my favorite nail designs and let you in on some secrets. So lets get started. Now we’re doing a juicy slice of watermelon. Okay for this, I’m actually going to use a q-tip, weirdly enough, to get sort of that fuzzy, juicy looking watermelon. I tap out the excess on my brush until it looks soft and I just go in and tap it out on here so it’s soft and fuzzy and looks like the meat of a watermelon. Now for the green tip, and you do this just like a French manicure. I’m actually going to use just a regular-sized brush. You definitely want to leave plenty of space because we are going to go in and give that rind those green highlights. So while that green is drying, I’m just going to go in and put in the seeds. So the shape of the brush is actually great for the shape of the seed. So, now I’m going to go in with a long, thin brush with some green on it to so some highlights in the rind. So now I’m going to put some topper on it because as you can see the acrylic doesn’t give it a lot of shine so I’m using a super high gloss top coat. Nam-nam watermelon nails.
