The life taking disease Cancer is also called as malignant tumor in medical terminology. Cancer is nothing but an abnormal cell growth which spreads to other parts of the body. Not all tumors are spreadable. Benign tumors do not spread to other parts of the body.

There is no use of taking preventive measures after the disease has entered our body. Maintaining healthy life style, following proper diet plan, cutting off all the unnecessary fast foods, all these treasure a lot when it comes to preventing cancer. Let us go by the maxim “Prevention is better than cure”. Here are few preventive measures that should be taken to prevent cancer cells from entering our body.

Foods To Fight With Cancer  

1. Stay in sun light for at least 15 min in a day

Almost 90% of our body’s vitamin D comes directly from the sunlight.  Studies prove that deficiency of Vitamin D in our body will lead to the reduction of communication between cells, causing them to stop sticking together and allowing cancer cells to spread. Vitamin D has a higher risk of multiple cancers, including breast, colon, prostate, ovarian, and stomach. Overexposure to sun light will also lead to skin cancer. So, no less, no more. Do it for 15 min a day.

2. Cut out sugary drinks

Sugars are not only responsible for obesity and diabetes. They also increase the risk of endometrial cancer.  According to a research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, women who drank sugary drinks had up to 87% higher risk of endometrial cancer because of the pounds they gain.

3. Stand more. Sit less

More sitting not only leads to obesity problems but it also leads to endometrial and colon cancer.  New studies suggest that people who sit for longer periods without moving have 24% higher risk of colon and endometrial cancer than the people who sit less.

4. Eat garlic, onions, steamed broccoli

Using a process called Apoptosis garlic helps to kill the cancer cells naturally. Onions are rich in antioxidants which will help in inhibiting the cancer cells growth.  Broccoli is a cancer-preventing food that should be taken frequently. A study found that steamed broccoli is more healthy than the boiled broccoli.

5. Green tea

Green tea is a wonderful drink that will reduce the risk of breast, ovarian, colon, prostate and lung cancer.  It has a great healing power too.

6. No tobacco

“Smoking is injurious to health” is the health precaution that we will see all around the globe.  But what’s so great about writing and pasting it on walls if it is not followed properly? Many cancers can be prevented by not smoking.  Tobacco use is the cause of about 22% of cancer deaths.

7. No alcohol consumption

Alcohol protects against the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, which is known to cause ulcers and may lead to stomach cancer.

8. Snack on kiwi, red grapes

Kiwi consists of antioxidants which helps in fighting cancer cells. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein and copper.  Grapes consists of antioxidants that slows the cancer growth in the lymph nodes, stomach, breasts and liver.

9. Walk for 30 minutes a day

Walking is the best exercise remedy anyone can do.  Walking for 30 minutes a day will reduce the risk of breast cancer in women.  Scientific studies prove that women who walk for 30 minutes every day will have 30 to 40 percent lower risk of breast cancer than the non-walking women.

10. Milk

Milk contains calcium in it. Calcium is used to protect us from colon cancer. Studies prove that more than 700mg of calcium per day had up to 45% reduced risk of colon cancer than those who consumed 500mg of milk per day.
