These days, nails play an equally important role in the overall look for the Fahion. Here, we’ve rounded up our favorite manicures from this season, along with a few great how-to tips if you want to try them for yourself.
Swipe chunky glitter specks across the bottom half of your nails after you’ve applied your topcoat for a high-impact look that requires minimal effort.
The combination of smoke gray and golden metallic nail polish on these gorgeous glitter-dipped tips (courtesy of celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan) makes for one interesting, easy upgrade to your average French manicure.
According to Hughes, this matte charcoal gray nail polish color is the new cool way to rock black nails. Black isn’t as shocking and stark when it’s dulled to a gorgeous gunmetal.
If you can’t decide which color you want to wear, pretend you’re Picasso and mix them together on your canvas, a.k.a. your nails! Here’s how it’s done: Drop three or four shades of polish on each nail, and swirl them into one with the tip of a toothpick. Each nail will have its own individual design.
For beauty buffs, certain occasions call for stacks of nail bling. Paint your fingernails gold and start piling it on. From clear crystals to neon beads, the more, the merrier! (But you may want to lay off the arm parties for a bit.)
If long, dark, and rounded nails feel a tad too vampy and avant-garde for you, try toning them down with a textured topcoat. The matte finish, created by celebrity manicurist Elle for Red Carpet Manicure, makes this lengthy style feel more wearable.
